Status noteהנוסח הוכן עבור אתר SCIS ומתאר את פעילות האתר בפועל. המסמך מוצג לבדיקה משפטית סופית של יועץ המרכז.

1. Introduction and site operator

These Terms of Use govern use of the website of SCIS – Supply Chain Innovation Center & Sustainability ("the Center", "the site") at scis.co.il and its sub-pages.

Use of the site and of the content and services offered on it is subject to these terms. Please read them before using the site.

Questions about these terms may be sent to info@scis.co.il.

2. Definitions

  • The site – the Center's website, including all pages, content, services and versions.
  • User – any person or entity browsing or otherwise using the site, including registered users.
  • Personal area – the registered user area (member portal) covering organization details, event registrations, membership status and team management.
  • Content – any text, image, file, data, mark, design, code or other material displayed on the site.
  • Services – the activity offered through the site, including enquiries, membership applications, event registration, submission of an industrial challenge, review of the solutions directory and account management.

3. Acceptance of the terms

Use of the site constitutes acceptance of these terms. They apply alongside the complementary documents published on the site: the Privacy Policy, the Cookie Policy, the Accessibility Statement, the Disclaimer, the Copyright notice and the Mailing Policy.

Where a dedicated document addresses a specific subject, that document prevails for that subject. Nothing in these terms derogates from mandatory provisions of law.

4. Eligibility

The site is intended for adults and for business or professional use. Use by a minor requires the approval of a parent or legal guardian.

Users represent that the information they submit is accurate, current and complete, and that they are authorized to submit information on behalf of the organization they represent.

5. Services and content

The site presents information about the Center's activity, professional content and insights, a solutions and partners directory, an events calendar, information about the innovation competition (operated on a separate external platform), enquiry and application forms, and a personal area for members.

Some services depend on membership terms, approval, eligibility or quota. The Center may charge for certain services where expressly stated on the site or in a separate agreement.

The Center may change, add, reduce or discontinue a service or content, subject to applicable law.

6. User accounts and personal area

Opening an account requires an email address, a password and email verification. Organization members may also be registered through an invitation from the organization administrator or the Center.

Users undertake to provide accurate details and to keep them up to date. The Center may decline, suspend or close an account where information is false, these terms are breached, or there is a security concern.

7. Credentials and user responsibility

Account credentials are personal and may not be transferred. Users must keep the password confidential, choose a strong password, avoid reusing it elsewhere and notify the Center promptly of suspected misuse.

Users are responsible for activity in their account unless they show that it was carried out by another person without authorization after notifying the Center.

8. Permitted and prohibited use

Use of the site is permitted for legitimate purposes only. In particular, users may not:

  • Copy, distribute, publish or commercially use the content, in whole or in part, without prior written approval.
  • Collect data from the site automatically (including crawling, mining or scraping) without prior written approval.
  • Attempt to access systems, data or areas they are not authorized to access.
  • Upload malicious code, disrupt the site or harm its availability.
  • Submit false or misleading information, or information about another person without their consent.
  • Publish offensive, discriminatory, threatening content or content infringing intellectual property or privacy.
  • Use site content to train models or build a database without prior written approval.
  • Grant unauthorized access to the site or its materials.

Fair use permitted by law, and reasonable internal use within a member organization, are not a breach.

9. User-submitted content

Users are solely responsible for content they submit, including its accuracy, legality and non-infringement of third-party rights.

By submitting content, users grant the Center a non-exclusive licence to use it solely to provide the service – for example to review an industrial challenge, present it to relevant parties in line with the consent given in the form, or handle an enquiry. The licence does not include public publication of content marked confidential.

10. Intellectual property and trademarks

All site content, including text, design, logo, graphics, code and photographs, is owned by the Center or by third parties that licensed it, and is protected by copyright and intellectual property law.

Use of the Center's trademarks, name and marks requires prior written consent. Further detail appears in the Copyright and Intellectual Property document.

11. Reliance on information

Information on the site is provided for general information and programme purposes. It is not legal, financial, engineering, safety or other professional advice, and is not a substitute for appropriate verification or advice.

The Center makes reasonable efforts to keep information current but does not warrant that it is complete, accurate or up to date at all times. See the Disclaimer for full detail.

The site links to external services and sites, including the innovation competition platform, partner sites and social networks. Responsibility for their content, availability and privacy practices rests with their operators.

The Center is not liable for damage arising from use of an external service and does not control external content.

13. Availability and interruptions

The Center aims to keep the site available but does not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, faults or force majeure.

The Center is not liable for damage caused by interruption, disruption or unavailability, to the extent permitted by law, and such interruption is not a breach of these terms.

14. Payments, event registration and cancellation

The site does not process online card payments. Payments for membership fees or event participation are made directly with the Center according to the instructions provided to the registrant, subject to payment approval.

Event registration is subject to the Center's approval and to venue capacity. A registration that is not approved or paid on time may be cancelled.

Requests to cancel, change or obtain a refund must be sent in writing to info@scis.co.il and will be handled according to the terms of the specific event and applicable law, including the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 1981, where applicable.

15. Changes to the site and to these terms

The Center may update the site, the services and these terms from time to time. A material change will be published on this page with an update date and version number.

Continued use of the site after updated terms are published constitutes acceptance. Users who do not accept them are asked to stop using the site.

16. Suspension and termination

The Center may suspend or close an account or restrict access where these terms are breached, in cases of misuse, security concerns, legal requirement or the end of a membership.

Users may request closure of their account at any time by writing to info@scis.co.il or through the privacy area of the personal area.

17. Limitation of liability

Use of the site and its content is at the user's own risk. To the extent permitted by law, the Center is not liable for indirect, consequential, incidental or special damage, including loss of profit, loss of data or reputational harm arising from use of the site or reliance on its content.

These limitations do not apply to liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law, including liability for damage caused wilfully or through gross negligence, liability under consumer protection law where applicable, and liability under privacy law.

18. Preservation of statutory rights

Nothing in these terms derogates from consumer rights or any other right granted by law. Any provision will be interpreted so as to minimize prejudice to the user, and a mandatory statutory provision prevails in case of conflict.

19. Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms and use of the site are governed by Israeli law. The competent courts in Israel have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory provisions regarding consumers or jurisdiction.

20. Contact

Questions about these terms may be sent to info@scis.co.il or through the contact page of the site.
